Benefits of Lemons

Benefits of Lemons

Lemons are an All Purpose Cleaner

Replace harsh, chemical-filled cleaners with a natural, lemon-based one. For mirrors, windows, and countertops, mix lemon juice and water in a spray bottle. Brighten your whites without bleach by adding a cup of lemon juice to your laundry. Rub a lemon directly on grimy faucets and shower handles to remove soap scum while polishing chromes and other metals. You can even remove carpet stains with a lemon juice and salt scrub.

Lemons Tea for a Sore Throat

Gargle with lemon juice or adding it to hot tea is a great way to soothe redness and inflammation in your throat. Lemon is also antibacterial and can help get rid of any germs inhabiting your throat

Lemons make a great Preservative

Make your fruit and vegetable slices last longer by coating them with lemon juice. The citric acid will help keep them from browning. Give it a try today by coating some apples slices or spritzing it on a batch of guacamole.

Lemons Fade Dark Spots on your Skin

You can use lemon juice topically to help fade dark spots. Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C, which can help even your skin tone. Apply lemon juice daily; let it sit for five to 15 minutes and you’ll begin to see an improvement in a couple weeks.

Lemons as a Teeth Whitener

Mix lemon juice and baking soda in a small bowl until it bubbles. Using a cotton swab, apply the mixture to your teeth and let sit for a minute before brushing off gently. This is a cost-effective way to get the smile you want without paying for expensive whitening treatments. However, it’s important to follow the instructions exactly because citric acid can erode tooth enamel if it’s left on your teeth for more than a minute.

Lemons to Care for Your Nails

Soak your nails in a bowl of lemon juice to remove dark nail polish stains or any other nail discoloration instantaneously.

Lemons can clean your Furniture

You can make a chemical-free wood polish by mixing a cup olive oil with half a cup of lemon juice.

Lemons as an Air Freshener

Lemon’s fragrance can quickly eliminate nasty smells in your house. Start by boiling lemons to make your own, toxin-free air freshener. Leave lemons on the stove for several hours and slowly the good smells will diffuse throughout the air. If your kitchen is the issue, try putting lemon peels down your garbage disposal and rubbing lemon on wooden cooking items to get rid of lingering smells.

Lemon Face Mask

Combine lemon and honey in a bowl for an easy, do-it-yourself facial mask. The vitamin C from the lemon will brighten your skin while the honey antiseptic properties will help prevent acne as it helps moisturize your skin. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes for best results.

Lemons to help Morning Sickness or Nausea

Squeeze lemon juice into a glass and add a pinch of sugar for instant nausea relief. The fresh, clean scent of the lemon is what does the trick.

Lemons for Cleaning Your Microwave

If your microwave is stained and smelly, lemon can fix that. Put a couple halved lemons and some water in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for thirty seconds. When it’s finished, wipe down the inside of the microwave. It should have a fresh, clean smell.

Benefits of Litramine

The Benefits of Litramine

Litramine comes from the dried leaves of the prickly pear cactus, also known as Opuntia Ficus Indica. Supposedly this has traditionally been used in Mexico as a weight loss aid for generations, at least according to the promotional material for some of the diet pills that use this key ingredient.

Litramine is a fat binding supplement that can help you lose weight, here is how it works.

You take XLS Medical Fat Binder (180 Tablets) which contains Litramine after your meal and the Litramine absorbs with the water in your stomach and they swell up to form a stable fluid gel. This gel structure reinforces the fat fibre complex formed with the lipophilic interaction. The large fat-fibre complexes formed are protected from digestion and absorption, and are then excreted naturally from the body.

Litramine works by providing two different types of fibre, soluble and insoluble, which affect the body in two different ways. By combining the effects of both types, weight loss is caused in a number of ways, and is likely more effective than if weight loss was only addressed in one manner.

Due to reduced digestion and absorption of fats from food, lesser calories are available from dietary fats. By appropriate use of Litramine, adjusted to the content of dietary fat anticipated, weight loss is achieved. When used in combination with a suitable diet and exercise plan, a negative calorie input-expenditure balance can be created for more effective weight loss.

Design and Methods:

One hundred twenty-five overweight and obese adults participated in the study. Subjects were advised on physical activity, and received nutritional counseling; including hypo caloric diet plans (30% energy from fat and 500 kcal deficit/day). After a 2-week placebo run-in phase, subjects were randomized to receive either 3 g/day of IQP G-002AS (IQ) or a placebo. The primary endpoint was change in body weight from baseline; secondary endpoints included additional obesity measures and safety parameters.

Results:

One hundred twenty-three subjects completed the 12-week treatment phase (intention-to-treat (ITT) population: 30 male and 93 female; mean BMI: 29.6 ± 2.8 kg/m2 and age: 45.4 ± 11.3 years). The mean body weight change from baseline was 3.8 ± 1.8 kg in IQ vs. 1.4 ± 2.6 kg in placebo (P < 0.001). More IQ subjects lost at least 5% of their initial body weight compared to placebo (P = 0.027). Compared with placebo, IQ also showed significantly greater reduction in BMI, body fat composition, and waist circumference. IQ was well tolerated with no adverse reactions reported.

Litramine Side Effects

These side effects include bloating, diarrhea, constipation, headaches and even sickness. It is recommended that to reduce the occurrence of some of these side effects, especially headache and constipation, plenty of liquids are drunk as a part of a diet regime.

Conclusions:

As Litramine combines two methods that contribute to weight loss, appetite suppression and fat binding; it may be more successful than other ingredients that only address one of these methods. Before making a decision about whether to incorporate a product containing Litramine into your weight loss plan, alternatives should also be researched.
